This year I joined Cub Scouts!  I am in the bear den.  I’m almost finished with my bear badge!  My last thing I have to do is make an information report on anything I want to.  I’m making a report on plant life cycles, and this is it.

The three types of flowers I’m going to mention here are annual, perennial, and biennial.

Annuals are flowers that last only one year.  Annuals complete their life cycles in one growing season.  It will grow, flower, set seeds, and die.  Examples are marigolds, tomatoes, and petunias.

Perennials are flowers that live three years or more.  Two types of perennials are daisies and roses.

Biennials take two seasons to complete their life cycle.  They grow their leaves in the summer they are planted.  In the winter, they go to sleep.  In the spring the leaves grows a little more, and in the summer the leaves stop growing and the flowers grow.  Then it drops its seeds and dies.  The plant will grow again from its seeds.  Examples of biennials are parsley and carrots.

This summer was awesome!

I went  to Hershey  Park. This summer  was my first time on the tidal force.  It was also my first time to spend  the whole day at the boardwalk.  This year I was tall enough to ride some roller coasters, like the Wildcat and Wild Mouse.

While mom was working, I went to summer camp for a few weeks.  I swam  at Penn Colonial Swim Club.  My class went on a field trip to Gifford  Pinchot park.  We also went bowling twice.  Other places came to my summer camp, like Zoo America and the Popcorn Hat Players.

I did Science Sundays with dad.  We made a water  bottle rocket.  We made a piano out of bananas using a Makey Makey board.  Dad and I programmed games with scratch, a programming language.

Grammy visited us for 1 1/2 weeks.  I went to afternoon tea with Grammy, grandma, and mom.  I went to the ice cream  social with her and my whole family.  We went on a picnic at City Island and rode the Pride of the Susquehanna. It`s a really big paddle wheel riverboat.

My family visited  Gettysburg battlefield.  I saw lots of monuments.  I saw and climbed on the rock at Devil’s Den.  I got a map of the battlefield, a patch, and a couple books.

This summer, I had a couple special achievements.  I played piano at church in the sanctuary for the first time ever.  I also learned how to ride my bike without training wheels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish it would never end!

On the first day of break  I went to the eye doctor.   She had all these cool machines.   And she said that I need GLASSES!  And that same day I went on a train ride.  On the train, there was a man who had a cool instrument.   He had an accordion and he   played songs .  My favorite one was God Rest  Ye Merry Gentlemen .  We were going to the NORTH POLE! I saw Santa. The next day was Christmas eve.  Before bed we drank hot cocoa and watched polar express.  The next day was, CHRISTMAS day!  I got a lot of presents, my favorite was a sled from Grammy!! On December 29th some friends came  to my house,it was for a new year party.   I had a great time, we got to make our own pizza,  and sundaes. On new years eve me, mom and dad stayed up late and played games.  On new years day, we ate pork and sauerkraut.

On Saturday, I went to the Bond’s house with Grandma and Grandpa.  The  Bond’s are friends of Grandma and Grandpa.  We ate dinner with the Bonds.  After dinner I got to putt on Leo’s putting green.  I got some golf balls in the holes.  It was great!

After we putted I got to see the motor home. There was a massage chair and I got to sit in it.  I loved it!

When I was at the Bonds, they also showed me their fish.  There were two big fish.  One was orange and one was yellow.   The Bonds let me feed them!

What a busy night!

I have a  elf.  I look  for him.   His  name is Fred.

He is funny. Some  times he gets stuck.

I  played  with the cash  register at inside recess.  Cameron was my boss and Preston was my customer.

When I opened the cash register there was no money in the cash register.  It was a mystery!  I found the money in the other cash register.

Monster Squeeze Rocks!

Yesterday I played monster  squeeze.  I used pennies  for the  monsters.

I took a number strip and my partner and I shared two pennies.

First one person thought of a number and told the other person the number was between 2 different numbers.

That person put the two pennies on those numbers.

The other person guessed a number and the first person told if the number was higher or lower than the number or if it was the correct number.

If it wasn’t the right number then one of the people moved the left or the right penny on that number.

It was really fun!!!!!!!!!

MY  Favorite thing was library.

I got  to pick  a   prize from   the prize  drawer.  it was  mega fun dough!  It was blue and orange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
